At TAG2, we are a curriculum-driven company with a deep passion for storytelling, curriculum development, and working with kids of all ages. Our mission is simple: to make learning fun, meaningful, and impactful for every student, teacher, and administrator.
With over 60 years of combined educational experience, our founders—Berta (Bertie) Lopez and Diane Flores—have dedicated their careers to empowering educators and students. We believe that with the right tools, resources, and training, a real difference can be made for EVERY STUDENT, EVERY TEACHER, EVERY ADMINISTRATOR, EVERYDAY!
Through innovative curriculum design, hands-on learning experiences, and proven professional development strategies, TAG2 brings stories to life and transforms classrooms into engaging learning environments where growth and achievement flourish.
We believe that by instilling the growth mentality, the bridge to decreasing the learning loss is possible for students, teachers and administrators. We will work with district leaders, campus administration, and teachers to conduct data studies (if requested) to personalize and differentiate professional development and support the learning loss in the areas of Math and English Language Arts (ELAR).
Growing our leaders is also a must! We will provide techniques and proven successful strategies, based on Effective School Framework (ESF) to support an effective Instructional Coaching Model and build on the instructional knowledge of Assistant Principals and Principals.
"Ms. Lopez is a dynamic presenter that knows how to target professional development to address student learning. She left a legacy with the math instructional coaches that she supported and to whom she provided professional development."

Two passionate educators with over 60 years of combined experience, dedicated to transforming education.
Director of Elementary Education (Retired)
29 Years of Educational Excellence
Diane Flores has served in multiple capacities in the educational field for 29 years. Recently retired from the Ysleta ISD in El Paso, Texas, Diane served as the Director of Elementary Education, where she worked with campus leadership teams to grow their instructional knowledge and supervised the elementary academic team in all core content areas.
During her tenure, Diane was responsible for the Elementary Gifted and Talented Program, the Dyslexia Program (K-12), and the implementation of a district-wide Response to Intervention (RTI) program. Building capacity was always at the forefront of her work, and growing and empowering others with knowledge became her mantra. This ultimately led to increased student achievement in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science.
She also served as the Director of Curriculum for Elementary in Socorro ISD for 3 years, where she worked collaboratively to create successful systems for Principals, Assistant Principals, and instructional coaches. Under her leadership, student achievement increased in all content areas, and she successfully assisted campuses that fell short of AYP/TAIS expectations.
Diane has also served as Interim Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean of Instruction, Advanced Academic Facilitator, Instructional Coach, and Special Education & Elementary teacher.
Assistant Director of Mathematics (Retired)
30 Years of Mathematical Excellence
Although Berta (or Bertie, as she is known) retired from the El Paso Independent School District as the Assistant Director of Mathematics, she has continued in her passion of curriculum and instruction, with a focus on Mathematics.
With 30 years of experience, Bertie has held positions in the mathematical field that have contributed to increased student achievement in mathematics. These positions have included math facilitator, USP math mentor, and mathematics consultant. She became a System Reform coordinator with the University of Texas at El Paso, where she worked with the three major school districts in El Paso and served as an instructional mentor for K-12 teachers. She also served as a Math/Science instructional officer for San Elizario ISD.
During her tenure with EPISD, she worked and provided support to elementary instructional coaches on best practices, which yielded exemplary student achievement in mathematics for grades 3-5. She worked in collaboration with campus leadership teams and supported their knowledge of mathematics, allowing them to support and provide feedback to teachers and implement a plan of success.
Bertie has also served as an assistant principal and an elementary teacher. She has a Masters of Education and holds a certification in Administration: K-12 Principalship.
"It is my vision to instill the love of mathematics with all stakeholders!"
